Rifle
The Benzie Sportsman’s Club provides its members and their accompanied guests the use of our rifle range free of any range fees. The range has 100, 50, and 25 year backstops. The target shack contains a staple gun and targets. Targets are provided at a .25 cost. The firing line contains four ambidextrous bench rests and is covered with a metal roof. New target stands have been installed on the range. Users of the range are encouraged to place donations in the pipe at the rear of the target shack. All donations will be used exclusively to improve and to maintain the range.
Each fall the Club sponsors “Sight-in Days” program to assist deer hunters with a free facility to sight in their rifles in a safe environment. Range officers provide technical assistance and spotting scope service to shooters. Site in services are provided at a fee of $1 per shot.
Our rifle range is open with shooting scheduled for Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday open 10 AM - 3 PM during daylight hours. It is open for use any other day of the week during the hours that skeet is NOT being shot.
